I am a California native and a graduate of San Jose State University, San Jose, California with a BA in Art, with a Special Secondary Teaching Credential. My Master’s of Science degree in Art Education was received from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Tennessee with a focus in watercolor painting.
My children’s book illustration career began by becoming an illustrator and Art Director for Sullivan Associates Programmed Learning in Palo Alto California. Although my career took a turn to Nonprofit Arts Management, my involvement and love of children’s book illustration and watercolor painting has always been a large part of my life.
I currently live in a Chicago Illinois suburb, Rockford where I am an active member of the Rockford Artist’s Guild, the Society for Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and the Geneva Lake Arts Foundation, Inc. I teach high school Interior Design at Beloit Memorial High School, Beloit, WI.
